Stock/Logistics Courier Position

Northside Flower Market has been operating in Stafford for over 25 years. Our team of florists makes arrangements and bouquets every day for delivery to our customers, mainly on the north side of Brisbane.

We are looking for a Stock/Logistics and delivery driver for Monday to Friday shifts of around 30 hours per week, who can consistently and safely deliver floral gifts and plants on time in our own van (automatic transmission).

Previous courier experience is desirable, as is customer service experience.

This position also requires some heavy lifting and manual handling when assisting with stock processing or collections of boxed bulk flowers & foliage, and florists’ sundries such as vases, flower wraps etc. This is a hands-on role suited to a physically capable person.

Other tasks include:

Processing incoming stock for our florists and for retail sale.
Moving stock to and from our shop.
Some light warehousing duties such as unpacking vases, pots, wraps and florists’ supplies.
Flower deliveries to residences, businesses, hospitals etc. including regular and timed deliveries.
Keeping the interior of the delivery vehicle clean.

Shifts usually start at 7.30am (some 7am Monday starts are required).

There is also the opportunity for Saturday work, and longer shifts/weekend work at key seasonal events such as Valentine’s Day, Mothers’ day and in the lead up to Christmas.

Requirements

Applicants must have a valid Australian Driver’s License.
Courier experience, or customer service experience favourable, not essential.
The ability to lift and carry up to 20kg.
A knowledge of the north side of Brisbane is favourable.

The role is casual and per the General Retail Industry Award, ($32.10 per hour Monday to Friday, $38.52 per hour Saturdays) plus superannuation.
