This week on the blog we take a look at Ashley and Peta’s recent Mt Coot-tha wedding. Peta chose a round, structured bouquet in seasonal blooms which included pink ice proteas, roses, tulips and disbud chryanthemums, with bridesmaid and cake flowers to match. Thank you Peta for the Q&A, and to Jarred Eid of Narrative Fine Art for the images from the day.
Wedding dress designer? BellaDonna in Woolloongabba
Suit designer? Stuart Suit Specialist in Brisbane City
Hair and Makeup – Leah from Grace and Style Beauty in The Gap
Venue – Mirra, Bridge Street, Fortitude Valley
What inspired you for the theme of your wedding? We wanted a wedding that was warm and inviting for all of our guests and that would have lots of room for people to spread out and have some fun either on the dance floor or at the photo booth. The venue at Mirra was the perfect size for our wedding and the team there really took care of us and our guests.
What is your favourite flower? Chrysanthemums have become a favourite recently with their big round flower and bright colour.
Who was your photographer? Jarred Eid from Narrative Fine Art.
Highlight of your wedding day? Too many highlights to name just one! Our ‘first look’ photo’s in Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, the ceremony at Mirra, and the dancing after dinner are a few of our favourite moments of our day.
Favourite part about the florals we designed for you? Pink ice protea with their bold structure balanced well with the soft roses and parrot tulips.
